Meet Pamela - the creator and visionary behind The House of Penrose.

The desire to be creative and to have impactful connections has always lived deep in Pamela’s bones. As a sewist, mental health therapist, and astrologer Pamela has created this space to bring together all of the modalities she uses in her personal and professional life. The mission and vision of The House of Penrose is to be a “house” of healing and creativity for all who enter; to help bring awareness to the inherent worth, power, beauty and wholeness in all of us through mental health awareness, creativity, and the art of garment making.

Pamela is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). Graduating in the summer of 2023 with a Master of Arts in Counseling, she has over a decade of mental health experience, including her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Pamela has a heart for working with adults navigating divorce, grief, loss, self-acceptance, and rebuilding after challenging life transitions. She also enjoys helping clients discover their values, set boundaries, and connect back to their authentic self. She believes in the power of creativity, allowing clients to bring their love of music, writing, sewing, painting, etc. into their sessions as a means of finding deeper healing. Pamela approaches counseling from a client-centered lens, incorporating a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness, and Attachment theory. Pamela is also a certified astrologer, through Rising Woman, who uses astrology when requested by the client alongside her therapeutic work and also offers individual astrology sessions as a tool for self-understanding and self-discovery.

While Pamela started pursuing her therapeutic career at the age of 18, she took a detour before her Masters that led her to a love of sewing. Sewing is one of Pamela’s favorite ways she expresses herself and her creativity. When she first started sewing, she had a dream to create her own clothing line, and as so often happens, her dreams grew as she grew. In her personal life she navigated many griefs and losses over a short period of time - navigating a divorce and the passing of her father. While learning to grieve, with sewing as a tool to process during those stormy times, she grew a deep desire to combine inner healing and creativity. Sewing reminds her that life, each day, each moment is its own creation. Pamela’s goal with sewing and with her life, is to always create something of quality and beauty.

Welcome to her house - The House of Penrose.
